Michelle Mankoff is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Masters in Counseling Education from the University of Miami. Michelle has over 20 years of experience in pre-marital, marital, family, individual, and adolescent and child therapy. Her areas of specialization include the treatment of: anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, adoptive and birth family issues, infertility and emotional issues, adolescent problems, sexual abuse, and divorce counseling. The primary focus of Michelle’s practice is providing professional counseling that will restore emotional and mental stability. She uses a therapeutic approach that is based on genuine trusting relationships with her clients.

I am trained to evaluate and treat mental and emotional disorders; as well as other behavioral problems. In therapy we address a variety or relationship issues within the context of the family. This therapy is designed for all couples who are either married or in a commited realtionship. Using certain techniques couples can learn how to resolve conflict and break through barriers in order to increase love, respect, and affection.
Therapy for young adults can be very helpful during the transition from adolescence into adulthood. New expectations, roles, and responsibilities can be overwhelming at this time in a persons life. Cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy can help young adults identify negative thought patterns and feelings while working towards personal goals. This is all accomplished in a warm, confidential, and safe environment
Therapy for depression and anxiety will be tailored to each indivdual. The focus of therapy is to work to decrease the symptoms of depression and anxiety. Cognitive behavioral treatment and mindfulness is used to focus on taking specific steps to overcome ones fears and live a healthy and more fullfilled life. Teaching practical techniques to reframe negative thinking and ultimately changing behavioral patterns is the goal.
Session fees are $75 for 50 minutes. Payment is due at the time of service. Michelle Mankoff participates with the following insurance companies: Cigna, Coventry Commercial, Coventry Exchange, Coventry Healthy Kids, Molina Exchange, United Behaivoral Health & E4 Health. More insurance companies will be added in the future.
